Amcanion Cyffredinol


1. Cynnal a chodi safonau cyflawniad disgyblion ym mhob maes cwricwlaidd yn unol â gofynion y cwricwlwm cenedlaethol a fframwaith y cyfnod sylfaen ynghyd ag Addysg Grefyddol.

2. Meithrin cymdeithas wâr sy'n rhoi pwys ar werthoedd moesol a dyngarol, gan ddatblygu hunan-barch a goddefgarwch tuag at eraill.

3. Yn unol â Pholisi Iaith yr Awdurdod, datblygu gallu'r disgyblion i fod yn hyderus ddwyieithog er mwyn eu galluogi i fod yn aelodau cyflawn o'r gymdeithas ddwyieithog y maent yn rhan ohoni.

4. Gosod seiliau ar gyfer sicrhau dysgu ac addysgu effeithiol yn yr ysgol.

5. Sicrhau cwricwlwm eang, cytbwys, perthnasol a chyfoethog.

6. Galluogi pob unigolyn i feithrin gwybodaeth, agweddau a medrau sy'n berthnasol i fywyd cyfoes, i addysgu am oes ac i ddefnyddio amser hamdden yn greadigol.

7. Sicrhau cyfleoedd cyfartal a mynediad i'r cwricwlwm cyflawn.


Amcanion Penodol


1. Sicrhau fod pob disgybl yn teimlo'n rhan o gymdeithas ddisgybledig sy'n rhoi bri yn ei bywyd a'i gwaith ar werthoedd moesol, ysbrydol a dyngarol.

2. Meithrin parch a goddefgarwch tuag at bobl o bob cefndir, cred a diwylliant a sicrhau cyfleoedd cyfartal beth bynnag fo'u hil, crefydd, rhyw, rhywioldeb, oedran neu anabledd.

3. Sicrhau y datblygir gallu pob disgybl i ddefnyddio'r Gymraeg a'r Saesneg fel cyfrwng dysgu yn unol â Pholisi Iaith yr Awdurdod Addysg.

4. Sicrhau fod dilyniant a datblygiad yn y profiadau a'r gweithgareddau a ddarperir a bod cyfran helaeth o'r profiadau hynny yn adlewyrchu natur bywyd a diddordebau'r disgyblion.

5. Sicrhau fod pob maes yn rhoi sylw i'r Cwricwlwm Cymreig.

6. Galluogi disgyblion i ddefnyddio eu medrau llythrennedd, rhifedd a thechnoleg gwybodaeth a chyfathrebu mewn amrywiaeth o gyd-destunau cwricwlaidd.

7. Sicrhau y defnyddir dulliau dysgu ac addysgu o ansawdd uchel fydd yn cynorthwyo disgyblion i ddatblygu meddyliau ymchwilgar a bywiog, y gallu i gwestiynu a thrafod yn rhesymegol, i ddatrys problemau
real ac i weithio'n anibynnol.

8. Darparu amrywiaeth eang o weithgareddau allgyrsiol a fydd o gymorth i ddatblygiad personol, cymdeithasol a diwylliannol y disgyblion.

9. Darparu cwricwlwm eang sy'n datblygu potensial llawn pob disgybl.

10. Annog cyswllt rhwng yr ysgol:
â'r cartref
â'r gymuned
ag ysgolion eraill [meithrin, cynradd ac uwchradd]
â diwydiant a masnach
â'r Awdurdod Addysg ag asiantaethau perthnasol eraill.


Objectives

General Objectives

 

1. To maintain and raise pupils' attainment standards in every curricular field in keeping with the national curriculum requirements and religious studies.

2. To foster a civilised community which emphasises moral and humanitarian values, developing self-respect and tolerance towards others.

3. In keeping with the Authority's Language Policy, develop the pupils' abilities to be confident bilingually in order to enable them to be complete members of the bilingual community they are part of.

4. To set foundations for ensuring effective learning and teaching in the school.

5. To ensure a broad, balanced, relevant and rich curriculum.

6. To enable every individual to foster information, aspects and skills which are relevant to contemporary life, to teach for life and to use spare time creatively.

7. To ensure equal opportunities and access to the whole curriculum.


Specific Objectives


1. To ensure that every pupil feels that they belong to a disciplined community which gives them pride in their lives and their work on moral, spiritual and humanitarian values.

2. To foster respect and tolerance towards people from every background, belief, and culture, and ensure equal opportunities whatever their race, religion, sex, sexuality, age or disabilities.

3. To ensure that every pupil's ability to use Welsh and English as a learning medium is developed in keeping with the Education Department's Language Policy.

4. To ensure that there is continuity and development in the experiences and the activities provided and that the vast majority of those experiences reflect the pupils' lifestyles and interests.

5. To ensure that every field gives attention to the Welsh Curriculum (Cwricwlwm Cymreig)

6. To enable pupils to use their literacy, numeracy and information and communication technology abilities in a variety of curricular contexts.

7. To ensure that teaching and learning methods of high standards are used which will assist pupils to develop inquisitive and lively minds, the ability to question and discuss logically, to solve real problems and to work independently.

8. To provide a variety of extra-curricular activities which will be of assistance to pupils' personal, social and cultural developments.

9. To provide a broad curriculum which develops the pupils' full potential
